The easiest way to feel good is to be grateful and appreciate. You may not always be in the “mood” to acknowledge these feelings. But since your feelings are a direct result of the thoughts you think, giving time to think of what you are grateful for and who/what you appreciate in your life, the feelings will eventually follow.
It’s really great when you can’t help but to have these feelings. So as I experience the overwhelming feelings of gratitude and appreciation for the people in my life today, I want to acknowledge the interest, generosity and love that these “helpful people,” as my Feng Shui practitioner calls them, have had and do have in me and my life. In doing so, I hope that it will spark thoughts of the significant people in your life.
In acknowledgement of my connectedness to the universe, I have to give my first appreciation there because that is where I give ultimate credit to all wellness, good creations and things, while understanding that non-wellbeing is due to a disconnectedness, yet returns to connectedness with a mere decision on anyone’s part. Everything in the universe serves a positive purpose in the end, though we may never understand it personally in our lifetime or at the moment.
Recently, I have wanted to give acknowledgement and tribute to the 3 women throughout my life who have been my significant positive influences. The first two who believed in me when I didn’t know how to believe in myself, and the third who caught me midstream and became a great confidant and cheerleader, sharing her lust for life and successes with me as well – the one who I lost in my physical experience last month, but hold her still dear to my heart and thoughts in spirit.
I’m fortunate to have several members of my family and dear friends who add love to my life and support me as much as they’re willing and able. My wording is intentional because I cannot and do not rely on them to do more than I ask, and sometimes not even that. But they will always listen to me, they always want to help me when I ask, they usually answer the phone when I call, and out of the group, one or two different ones at different times will surprise me, exceed my expectations/requests/wishes and show that what matters to me, matters to them. I appreciate all of it. And I am grateful to have a small enough number that is big enough to be there for me when I need someone for anything or nothing.
My friendships around the globe are growing, and some that I feel are “family” I have yet to meet in person, while others I have shared much time with. I appreciate these relationships because I love to learn of different cultures and wherever I travel, I know I have a place to visit with a welcome.
Then there are the people that I have attracted, and have attracted me, in living my purposeful life of passion. I’m still amazed at the people who have come into my life and have added SO much to my projects of “Campaign Feel Good” for the benefit of the people of the world. The campaign is my intention, as I stay focused in the direction of my plan, and at the same time, I am somehow useful to each of their purposes and intentions (at least that is my wish to serve). In these associations, that have become more than just alliances, but friendships, a realization of kindred spirits is evolving and a building of a positive force. I am most grateful and appreciative of these relationships that seem to develop out of thin air because I stay in awe of the workings of the universal the laws of attraction/resonance and reciprocity in particular. I have so much love for these people and they are so filled with love for people. I am truly fortunate to spend my time with this expanding group.
My family at home, plus dog, plus cat. Though my dog is 6 years younger, I mentioned him first because he’s so much more fun than the cat I’m allergic to – though now that I’m into more natural forms of health practices, the cat’s presence is far less dramatic on my physical condition and I love him too when he comes home to visit. My cat is a great hunter and has many scars to prove it. My people at home are just that. They are here through thick and thin. They like to create thick and thin too. They are wonderful creators and great spirits. I feel gratitude and appreciation each day for all they add to my life and allow me to add to theirs. There is much love in my house, even during the times that we get on each others nerves – sometimes I just have to laugh at it (usually when it’s them on mine).
And finally, I am grateful for the people who have brought chaos into my life with “bad” energy, violence, unkindness and abandon. Those are the people who are most responsible for the amount of personal and spiritual growth in my life. My mentor and teachers have made it easier for me to grow with their guidance, to the point of understanding that all encounters can serve positive purpose.
I look forward to many more good people to share in this life experience. I know when I spend more time in appreciation, I feel good more often. What a gift! Not only do I have great people in my life to enjoy, but I get to feel good about it whenever I want! : ) And I do.
Who are the people you appreciate?
